LumoCut EU Terms of Service

These EU Terms include consumer, digital service, withdrawal, refund, and dispute information for EU/EEA users.

1. Provider Information

Legal name: JJLabsIO (Sole Proprietorship). Representative: Jaejin Song. Registered address: 211-4 Omok-ro, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Email: [email protected]. Phone: not publicly disclosed; email-only contact. Business registration number: 836-64-00736. VAT number: none.

2. Service Description

LumoCut is a digital SaaS for localizing short product videos for ads and listings. It supports upload, AI-assisted processing, target-language localization, status tracking, and output download.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

The service is not intended for children under 16. Certain features require an account. You must keep credentials secure and provide accurate account information.

4. Fees, Credits, and Payment

LumoCut offers monthly subscriptions with included credits. New accounts receive one allocation of 6 free trial credits, valid for 30 days after signup. Credits expire as stated at purchase or grant. Payments and recurring subscription management are processed through Polar.

The applicable checkout currency and recurring price are clearly disclosed before purchase.

5. EU Right of Withdrawal

If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.

For digital services or digital content, this right may be lost once performance begins with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that the withdrawal right is lost. Starting a video processing job with credits may constitute such performance where properly disclosed.

6. Refunds and Conformity

If a technical issue prevents a video job from completing and producing a usable output video, LumoCut automatically restores the credits used for that job. Differences in individual expectations about translation, caption removal, or visual quality do not by themselves result in an automatic refund or credit restoration.

Mandatory rights under the Digital Content Directive and other applicable consumer laws, including withdrawal and conformity rights where they apply, remain unaffected.

7. User Content

Uploaded videos are private processing content, not public posts. LumoCut is not a social network, marketplace, or user-to-user platform. You retain your rights in uploaded content and grant us a limited license to process it for the service.

8. Prohibited Content and Moderation

You must not upload illegal, infringing, harmful, or unauthorized content. We may refuse processing, remove content, suspend access, or terminate accounts where needed for legal compliance, security, or material breach.

If we restrict access because of uploaded content, we will provide a reason where required by applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property and AI Output

LumoCut and its software are owned by JJLabsIO or licensors. AI outputs may contain errors. You must review localized videos before commercial use.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury, fraud, mandatory consumer rights, or any liability that cannot be excluded.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms with at least 30 days' prior notice for material changes affecting EU consumers. You may stop using the service if you do not agree to the changes.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

The Seoul Central District Court is the primary jurisdiction for business disputes. EU consumers may also bring claims in their country of residence where mandatory law allows.

For questions or complaints, please contact us at [email protected]. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protection rights or any applicable right to contact a consumer protection authority or alternative dispute resolution body.
